Speedfest 2012Here a interview to Dolphin about the band and their upcoming show at the Speedfest!
How would you describe '77 to people who don?t know the band yet?
We're a high energy rock and roll band who try to keep alive the legacy of Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, ACDC or The Who. Natural born rockers.
What can the crowd at Speedfest expect from '77?
What can we say... a burning show, a real good time. We'll try to took them away of reality... all together we'll be off to the golden age of rock and roll hahaha! Actually best thing in life it's to don't expect anything, then you enjoy things as hell!
What was Nicke's influence during the recording of High Decibels, and what did you learn from him?
He loved the main tracks so he didn't changed that much. So was really easy and fast to record it, just couple of days and a half. He focused a lot in the lead and backing vocals. There's a lot of Nicke on it and we learn a lot about how important is to work without preconceived ideas or any obsession about the sound... just open your mind and let's rock. Also we learn how important is to be honest with yourself and with the fans. He's not just our idol, also a reference as a hardworking musician.
I bought my first record as a kid in 1978. It was If You Want Blood You've Got It, so after more than 30 years Brian Johnson is still the 'new' singer to me. Do you feel the same way about it?
It doesn't really matter what we think about it. Anyway the AC/DC crowd have accepted Brian since long time ago. Actually we can listen to 'Flick of the Switch', 'Back in Black', 'Ballbreaker' or 'Stiff Upper Lip' and we're listening to ACDC. 'course we prefer Bon Scott albums but Brian is the singer since 1980... that's all.
What else is great about 1977, apart from Let there Be Rock?
Well, we love the Ramones, the Dictator or the New York Dolls... the whole New York punk rock scene was a great think... Kiss released 'Love Gun'... but main think was ACDC's 'Let There Be Rock'.
Which bands do you want to see at Speedfest?
Graveyard, they rules! Ofcourse Mosnter Magnet & Red Fang... also The Dirty Denims... then will see whatelse rocks!

Speedfest timetableWe'll be on stage at 15:40. See you after the show enjoying the rest of the bands!
LG & the Blues!I'm at home since two days ago after more than one motnh and a half touring around Europe... it's comfortable and cool but for me it is inevitable to have sleeplessness and a pseudo-transient-depression that makes me yearn even the soundchecks. Anyway tomorrow we'll do a very small show in Lleida and then the very last concert of the spanish tour in Castellón again! We'll do it there 'cause was the fuckin' hottest performances this year and also a sold out. We love to be back there!!
As I've said before, since '77 started to spend lot of time away of home I don't know what to do when I'm right back in town. My girlfriend and my records are a good balm during the daytime but the nights become nostalgic, I even spend time watching the TV shopping! I can't help to review photos and videos that I took on tour and had forgotten
It's amazing to remember every fucking moment... days like Leipzig, at the Hellraiser dressing room where LG play some Blues for us while we were joking about what we should do for the next record. Here the videos!

What the hell is a 'Big Smoker Pig'?Working on our new web I found some old interviews and I love to read this again!
Rock Hard [German]: What the hell is a 'Big Smoker Pig'? It's not an anthem against smoking, right?
Armand: Haha, no, it's not! In fact, we could say that it's quite the opposite... the story of the lyrics it's about a hang out night some time before creating '77. The thing is that we did too much booze and other things, you know, and LG started to see strange things because of this..., he said he could see a 'Big Smoker Pig' floating in the distance..., so, one day, remembering that strange vision he did the lyrics relating the story of that night.
